Thomas received the news of his Hodgkin Lymphoma the night of his senior prom. Un-phased, he began treatment and continued chemotherapy into his first semester at AssumptionCollege, eventually graduating with a degree in Organization Communications. In addition to overcoming his personal diagnosis, Tom has become heavily involved in raising cancer awareness within his community. He serves as the regional coordinator for I’m Too Young for This.org and has raised over $15,000 for the Jimmy Fund. Thomas is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration at NortheasternUniversity. Tom has been empowered by his cancer experience, writing “Now the only thing I fear other than the cancer reoccurring is that I will ever doubt myself again. I realize now that I can do anything to which I set my mind, and that I can succeed at it.”
