Jennifer is under went treatment for leiomyosarcoma in her bladder. Diagnosed in March 2005 (after 16 years in remission from retinoblastoma) with a leiomyosarcoma tumor in her bladder near the end of her senior year of high school, she managed to graduate on time through home/hospital instruction. Jennifer underwent chemotherapy, the removal of her bladder, and a hysterectomy. Jennifer is now pursuing an Associate of Science in Nursing degree at Skagit Valley College in Mount Vernon, WA and plans to continue on to nursing school to become a pediatric oncology nurse.
