Destiny Himmel will be the first member of her family to attend college when she starts her degree in cinematic production at Pierce College in the fall of 2011.  Diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at age 16, her mother was her inspiration for fighting.  She believes that the cancer survivors she has met are some of the most courageous and inspiring people.  Thankful for a second chance at life, she is active advocating in the cancer community.
