Waeger C.U.P. Golf Tournament 2005 |
|
|
Thank you for supporting the National Collegiate Cancer Foundation. The first annual Waeger C.U.P. golf tournament held on Sunday, October 30, 2005 was a huge success. With an unbelievable turnout of nearly 180 golfers and an overwhelming amount of donations and sponsorships, we raised over $12,000.
The National Collegiate Cancer Foundation’s mission is to provide services and support to the narrow group of college students who have been diagnosed with cancer. The Foundation encourages students to continue with higher education throughout their treatment and is committed to providing need-based financial support to these students and their families. For example, the National Collegiate Cancer Foundation may provide a transportation stipend to a college student who is required to travel long distances regularly for treatment or help a college student with the purchase of textbooks as he/she cannot work as many hours as before diagnosis because of treatment or the illness itself. Furthermore, it will support college students who may have a parent or sibling diagnosed with cancer and could use financial support to stay in school.
With your contribution, the foundation has got off to a great start in its first year. I want to thank you for everything you have done and hopefully you can continue to support the National Collegiate Cancer Foundation in the future.
Sincerely, Daniel J. Waeger, Cancer Survivor President of National Collegiate Cancer Foundation |
