About the NCCF Scholarship Program

The National Collegiate Cancer Foundation was established to provide services and support to young adults whose lives have been impacted by cancer and who have continued with their education throughout treatment or after their treatment.  These $1,000 competitive awards will be judged based on the criteria listed below. 

 All scholarships are one time awards. Previous awardees are encouraged to apply each year that awards are offered. However, they must submit a new application each year.

Eligbility:

Applicants must meet all of the requirements listed below:

 

  1. Cancer survivor with a personal diagnosis
  2. Must be between the ages of 18-35
  3. Seeking or receiving higher education 

Criteria:            

Applicants will be evaluated based on six criteria:

  1. Displaying a “Will Win” attitude with respect to his or her cancer experience
  2. Quality of essays
  3. Financial need
  4. Overall story of cancer survivorship
  5. Commitment to education
  6. Quality of recommendations
  • All applications must include the following:

    - Complete Application Form
  • - Copy of College Transcript
  • - Resume or list of accomplishments
  • - Essays (4 total)
  • - 2 Letters of Recommendation (One letter must be from a non-family member and one letter must be from a peer. See Section F for more details.)
 

** All application materials must be submitted together.

 **Please remember that incomplete applications will be not be accepted. tip: We are not looking for the perfect resume or transcript. We want to hear your survivorship story in your own words!
